 Freedom North East 2000 Caravan Club raising funds for Meningitis UK
Freedom North East 2000 Caravan Club (FNE 2000 CC) have great pleasure in announcing the launch of their Freedom Duck Race Web Site: www.freedomduckrace.co.uk
On Saturday 31st May 2008 FNE 2000 CC will be holding a Charity Duck Race to raise funds for their 2008 season chosen charity -Meningitis UK. This will take place on the River Wear at Stanhope Showground.
The duck race is one of a number of events planned by the organisation and hope that they can surpass their recent totals of £1,345 and £1,620 raised for the Great North Air Ambulance Service in 2007 and Cancer Research in 2006 respectively.
Ducks will cost £1 to adopt for the race day and the main prizes consist of:
£100 1st Prize donated by Lee’s Coaches of Durham £50 2nd Prize donated by Coachman Caravan
£25 3rd Prize donated by
Sizzlers Sandwich Shop and Outside Catering, Scogg Road, Newcastle
Tickets are available from all Committee members of FNE 2000 CC or by completing the form available at www.freedomduckrace.co.uk
Chairman of the Club Neville Simmons said, ”In the past our Charity Events have been low key and targeted at our members only, the Duck Race and associated planned events will include something for all to enjoy. The launch of the web site sees the start of tickets sales for the event, and we as a club will be working very hard this year to surpass previous years totals”.
