Hi all, anyone know of any non commercial sites ( don't mind a pool ) between Sienna and Florence. Off there in July with Granddaughter.

Hi Sysinfo,

We've only camped in Italy for a week , staying at the following sites -- Desanzano on Lake Garda---very commercial .
Rimini near the sea front----very crowded and pay to go on the beach unless you walk to the end of town ( which we did. )
Ostra in Marche , near Senigalia which has a nicer beach than Rimini.
The Camp site in Ostra was called Camping le Pre and it's in the centre of this absolutely typical Italian Town ( Google calls it a City but It's quite small, even for a town).
The site is in fact the large garden of a villa and the proprietor was a charming friendly man. It's a country side of rolling hills and small villages and not far from the sea.
It's the only site of these three which I could recommend and I realise that it's not the area you want.
I'll put the site on add a site.
Tugboy

Thanks Tugboy, been to Rimini many times. Its the Tuscany region we are looking at. Do put your site on as we will be doing when we come back.

Bob
