Hi there I bought one of the pyramid PDQ ones last summer latest 3 roof pole model excel model? I would say that yes they are all right but not
as good as a conventional porch ,I have no exp of the tunnel type but think that they might be superior as the pdq ones tend to form a bosum either side of the central pole in rainy weather (Derbyshire summer?2007)
have a look on ebay under caravan accesories/awnings there are loads.

I one of the guilty, perhaps it's because we haven't used the van that much since changing it last year. We picked it up the week before going to Ibiza last year, next week we are off to Sri Lanka and the Maldives for our 25th wedding anniversary. Then it will be to the caravan for lots more use, so will hopefully post some more.

Hello all!

Just found this forum through Google-ing for info about my new/vintage caravan.

I'm Jenny and I live with my bf Darren in East London. We've just picked up our bargainous Bailey Mikado (we think) and I am itching to get it all finished by the end of April all ready for some summer touring.

Looking forward to joining in with the forum Very Happy

Hi everyone,

I have been a member since Nov 2007, but only just got my caravan recently, its a Bailey Pageant Meastro, age unknown, purchased from ebay.

We hope to give it a first outing next weekend.

Hi Rob

I haven't worked out the link thing yet but this is the item number on ebay

330214986975

The previous owner has spent some time on it, but I still need to install the casette toilet and carry out some minor repairs.

If anybody has any idea on how to remove varnish style paint I'd really like to hear about it.

I'm going to the Ranch at Selby for our first outing, its close to home and I know the owners!!!

Looks good for £550 well done you

did they throw in the cassette toilet too?

What is the varnish paint on? if its on wood then a heat gun should work but not if its close to melamine or laminated stuff
