Hi there have just bought our first caravan yesterday. It is a Ace supreme twinstar 2004. We have been tenting for a few years but decided to upgrade to caravan. We have a few outings booked in the near future. We are going local in two weekends time to either Colchester or kent not quite sure yet and going to V festival in Aug ( only way husband could get me there was to have own Loo!!!!!!!!!) looking forward to getting to know lots of people and will prob have loads of questions for the experienced caravanners. Already been on phone to parents who have been touring for a few years!!!!!

With regards to chemical toilet which is the best product to use????? Can we use normal loo roll?????

You can get paper that is designed for septic tanks and chemical toilets - it dissolves in the water making the tank a lot easier to empty. It is more expensive though but, given the choice of spending a pound or two more or trying to scrape some quilted nastiness out of a cassette I know which I'd prefer...
