We have just bought our first caravan, before this we had a 6 berth tent. When we went away our two Akitas they slept in their crates in the spare bedroom.
Not sure about what will happen when we go away for the first time in the caravan. No doubt they are gone end up in the bed with us. LOL

Our dog kizzy - a cavalier/collie cross, sleeps on the bed, or if cold, under the duvet with us. Now bearing in mind she is only small... have you noticed how much room dogs think they need on a bed! Often we are right on the edge with no cover and she lies sprawled out across the bed like she owns it!
And we think we're the smart ones!

Our chocolate lab sleeps at the bottom of the bed,(spoilt comes to mind).
And each morning we,re woken with either a lick on the face or a big smelly paw
