Taken delivery of a new Swift Challenger last week and found water on the floor in the bathroom. Checked all pipe work but no leaks and then refilled the toilet fresh water tank. We found this was the cause as it was dripping down from above and spreading across the floor.
Eventually called out Discover (Hants & Dorset as was) in Portsmouth where we bought it from and they sent out an engineer.
We found out that the tank was split at the bottom and was faulty. They went straght back to the workshop and brought us a brand new toilet the next morning. Problem solved and we are full of praise for the service we have had from the dealer.
Obviously Thetford don't check their product by actually putting water in it!

John

Nice to hear you got some good service (as expected) from the dealer.

I suspect that Thetford do check these properly. Yes there may be times when things slip through the net but also you have to take in to account how it was handled after testing (if any). It could have been dropped at the factory, courier or even the installer at the Caravan Manufacturer.

Paul
