We have tried just about everything on the market and our dog will NOT settle. He now paces from side to side of the rear seat behind a dog guard. He has the whole of the back seat to himself. We estimate he walks about 70 miles to every 100 we travel. Keeps him fit and he is extremely tired when we arrive where we are going towing or not!
Welsh Sheep dogs are always on the go!! |

we have 5 English setters and have used Barjo gates in the past, they are good but pricey. you also need to put holes into whichever car you use. this year we have found a an independent manufacturer of made to measure lightweight cages for cars. ours is over 4ft deep 3ft 6inch wide and 3ft tall. easily lifted out to be used in the awning. no nuts bolts etc all put together with springs. you wont find him advertising anywhere, all customer's are by recommendation. having shown dogs for over 20 years its the best i have ever found and at around £250 for made to measure, i am one happy caravaning dog shower. he has a web site WWW>hamsterbaskets.co.uk

Thanks for that i too currently use a Barjo gate and guard and it is a pain when i want to use the car for anything other than carting the dogs.
I take a look at the website and see if its the sort of thing i am after. |
